Brier Mae Bostrom, DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Brier Mae BostromBrier Mae Bostrom, DVM, DACVIM, is a internal medicine specialist. She specializes in treating patients with chronic disease or diseases that are difficult to diagnose. In order to achieve the most accurate diagnosis, she utilizes specialized equipment including CT scans, MRI, interventional radiology, laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiology, and lithotripsy.

Dr. Bostrom earned her bachelor of science degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. She then attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia in Athens where she focused on small animal medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Bostrom completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dr. Bostrom followed this training with a small animal internal medicine internship at North Georgia Veterinary Specialty Care in Suwanee, Georgia. Recently, Dr. Bostrom spent three years completing a residency in small animal internal medicine at Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas.

Throughout the years Dr. Bostrom has earned several honors and scholarships. She has also participated in research utilizing immunohistochemistry, histopathology, PCR, DNA sequencing, and genomics. She has presented on topics such as pancreatitis, copper-associated hepatopathies, and treatment strategies for diarrhea. Additionally, Dr. Bostrom has been published in the Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Medicine, and UK Vet Companion Animal.
